Boredam, cold and no drugs 'in it

Hi all. I had a cold the week before last. God damn it I thought. Or words to that effect. Not again. Some folks advised me to take 1000mg of vitamin c for it some time ago and I always try to follow this regime despite the fact that it doesn't really work. Now those that know me will know I've become quite interested in non drug therapy and nutrition in general. So anyway, I was reading something in a book called "cancer - Why we're still dying to know the truth" (credence.org) and I recall some patients being injected with huge amounts of vitamin c with no ill effects. Ok I thought. even though that powdered stuff I've got from Holland and Barrett is called Vitamin c but is missing so I'm told, the full bioflavanoid part, I'll try upping the dose this time. So I started putting 3000mg about 4 times a day under my tongue and added a few haliborange A,C,and D combination pills for good measure. The cold had all but gone in 48 hours! I have to include a disclaimer here as I'm not a doctor so of course if you try this at home it will of course kill you so please stick to the man made chemical compounds sold in super drug etc. Much safer than nature and of course we wouldn't want to do those poor 'ickle pharmaceutical conglomerates out of their meager billions would we?
Onto Sunday and I did my first wedding fayre in all my ten years (nearly) of business. I wonder what it'll be like I thought. Well pretty boring actually as only about ten people turned up in about four and a half hours! Luckily I didn't have to pay for my pitch. It was complimentary. I'd been called in to take the place of another DJ who'd pulled out at the last minute. Still at least I got a dress rehearsal (a demo of every bit of kit I now have together). This Sunday it's Goodwood Park hotel and there'll be limo rides/ horse and cart stuff, fashion show (guess who's supplying the music?) and all sorts so I'm expecting it to be somewhat busier indeed. Do come down and see us if you're in the area. You get a complementary drink of Champagne I think from memory and the bar alone at Goodwood is worth a visit in itself. Lovely big fireplace and smokey medievalness vibe goin' down peeps. I'm drifting into teenage speak. Love the "chav pilots" in the Armstrong and Miller programme by the way. If you haven't seen it go here now! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9DN0EE0ocU
Have a brilliant week,
Mike.
